The Lycee technique provincial Jean Boets is a vocational and technical secondary school. Its main orientations are social sciences, caring assistance, child care, education, sciences, elder care. The school is located in an urban zone, in the near the center of Liège. The area is one of the poorest of the city, with a high level of unemployment and a very multicultural context. Public authorities consider the area as a priority in their economical and social policies. Most of the students are girls, coming from middle classes or disadvantaged groups. A lot of them are from the first or the second generation of the immigration coming from Africa or Eastern countries. Several families live in fragile situations (precarious conditions and social exclusion), they have few opportunity to meet other young from Europe, to travel, to exchange their cultures and daily practices.
